Is composting available at the market? If yes, what can I bring to compost?


Yes, composting is available on a first come first serve basis. We partner with the Compost Crew to provide composting services for the market. Please note that we sometimes fill both of our bins by noon. Click here to learn about what is acceptable compost.




Are there volunteer opportunities at the market?


Yes, we are working to grow a volunteer program for the market. If you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities, please send an email to programs@parkview.market.




Does the market accept nutrition assistance programs?


Yes, the market is working to be able to accept SNAP, WIC, FNMP, SFNMP, and Produce Plus. Visit our Nutrition Assistance page for more inforamtion and contact programs@parkview.market with any questions.




Where is the market located and what are the hours?


The market is located inside of Hook Hall at 3400 Georgia Ave NW, Washington DC 20010. The hours are every Sunday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.




What type of vendors and products are available?


Visit our Vendors page and learn more about the vendors available. Products range from an assortment of vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, eco-friendly meat, seafood, honey, pastries, bread, mushrooms, pickles, olives, olive oil, cheese and plant-based and meat-based prepared foods.




I am interested in selling at the market, how do I apply?


Please visit the Sell at our Market tab to review the Procedure Manual. Once you are ready to apply, click the Apply Now button and it will take you to the Manage My Market platform. Are the vendors permanent or will they change with the seasons?


We are working to find the best vendor mix to suit our customer's needs. Our goal is to have a permanent vendor base providing all of the products our customers need on a weekly basis, as well as have a few rotating vendors based on seasonality. Vendors are carefully curated for the dedication they demonstrate in connecting people to healthier food

What if I forget to bring a bag to the market? Are there bags available for purchase?


We aim to reduce our waste footprint as much as possible. If you forgot your bag, visit the market information booth to purchase a compostable bag for 10 cents. Additionally, you can buy a shopping bag for $10. See photo below, these are perfect for your weekly shopping!
